Google on 7 February 2023 finally launched its AI technology, Bard, Bard has been specifically launched with the intention of competing with Open AI’s popular language model ChatGPT-3. Google CEO Sundar Pichai gave this information in an official blog post. He has described Bard as a conversational AI service that can do things like simplify difficult things apart from providing high-quality responses.
Google has currently made it available to some testers and the company will introduce it to the public after some time. In a blog post detailing Bard’s potential, Google CEO stated, ‘Bard will be an outlet for creativity, a launchpad to answer your questions and help clarify new things.
Google unveiled Bard as competition to ChatGPT Ai
Days after Chinese search engine Baidu’s plans to roll out ChatGPT-style chatbot surfaced, Google unveiled its own interactive AI tool, Bard. The tool will be in competition with OpenAI’s ChatGPT which recently clocked 100 million users in just 2 months since it was made available for public testing. All of the Bard’s abilities are yet to be revealed and it is not yet known what works can be done via Bard but it looks like this chatbot will be similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Bard is Google’s artificial intelligence chatbot. It will work exactly like ChatGPT, that is, users will be able to use the chatbot through conversation. The new chatbot is based on Google’s Language Model for Dialogue Application (Language Model for Dialogue Application or LaMDA). According to the company, it is a lite version of LaMDA. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Bard has just been introduced on a testing basis for only a few users. However, very soon Bard will be offered for public use as well.

This is because smaller models typically require less computing power, and thus Bard will be able to reach more users and it will get more feedback. Google will share the feedback it receives from external users with its own internal testing to ensure that the quality of the answers it receives from Bard is held to a high standard and is based on real-world information.
