The Weeknd with full name as Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, is a well-known singer from Canada and he was born on 16 February 1990, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His parents were Ethiopian immigrants who had come to Canada many years ago. His father remarried shortly after the birth of Tesfaye and started a new family. He rarely saw his father because he had only ever heard him mention knowing him vaguely.
